|Function||The Office of the Work Health and Safety Commissioner (the Office), operationally known as WorkSafe ACT, is an independent authority responsible for work health and safety regulation in the Territory, under the WHS Act|
WorkSafe ACT is a contemporary regulator, aiming to drive an outstanding work health and safety culture in the ACT, to protect all workers, in all industries.
The Work Health and Safety Commissioner is the Regulator, and is responsible for the functions of WorkSafe ACT.
The Office supports the Regulator, by providing work health and safety education, research and awareness activities, as well as some licensing functions.
