| Function | Provides advice to Government on machinery of Government and all aspects of the Self Government legislation; Advises on the need for and content of legislative reform and prepares legislative drafting instructions for the Parliamentary Counsel. Develops and implements legal policy relating to the Justice & Community Safety portfolio in respect of administrative, criminal and commercial law; fair trading; community safety and indigenous justice issues; legal aid; adult corrections and sentencing policy; law enforcement; police services; liquor licensing and adult services regulation.
